Planned in Wakayama, dyed in Osaka’s Senshu district, and woven in Nara – this kaya kitchen cloth embodies the richness of Japan’s craftsmanship and seasons.
Made with slightly thicker threads, it is woven to create a soft, voluminous texture. The airy weave, unique to kaya fabric, ensures excellent breathability and quick drying, even with its fullness.
As part of the production process, starch is applied, giving the cloth a firm feel at first. With every wash, it softens and becomes pleasantly fluffy, developing a gentle texture you’ll love over time.
Perfect as a hand towel, for drying vegetables, or wiping dishes. And when it softens after long use, it can be repurposed as a kitchen cloth or cleaning rag. A durable and versatile companion for everyday life.
