Since 1963, Yamachiku has been crafting chopsticks using sustainably sourced bamboo from the mountains in Fukuoka and Kumamoto prefectures.

Due to the high degree of processing difficulty and the prevalence of cheap imported materials, the production of bamboo chopsticks has declined. With over 50 years of experience, Yamachiku is now the sole manufacturer in Japan producing 100% of its chopsticks in-house, from scratch to finish.

Lightweight, durable, and easy to grip, their chopsticks are enjoyed by people of all ages in many households and are trusted by chefs at renowned restaurants throughout Japan.
