A laurel motif is formed around the rim with the traditional "Shinogi" technique, which delicately scrapes the surface using a spatula or plane.
The hand-carved laurel leaves by a skilled potter make this plate stand out.
With the unique details and delicacy of Shinogi, this plate brings out the warmth and texture of the clay.

Handcrafted by Yuzangama, the second generation of Shotoen in the Toki city, Gifu prefecture, Japan.
