Japanese Rice Wax Candles
Rice is the primary staple food of the Japanese diet and of such fundamental importance to the Japanese culture. As a byproduct, rice bran has long been used to create useful products around the household, including candles.
These rice wax candles are made of 100% rice bran, and wicks are made from rolled Japanese style paper (washi).
These earth friendly candles do not emit smoke or leave behind excess dripping, promoting a clean burn while radiating a soft and warm glow in your home.
Established in 1892, Takazawa Candle are one of the few remaining "WA-ROUSOKU" (Japanese traditional style candles) makers. They carefully produce each candles by hand using traditional techniques. Takazawa Candle is based in the Noto Peninsula, in Japan.
